Opposition political parties in Odisha on Tuesday called for a statewide ‘Bandh' on July 17, 2025, in protest against the death of a Balasore student who had set herself on fire. The state Congress President Bhakta Charan Das has demanded the resignation of the Odisha Education Minister, local MLA, and MP after the tragic incident.
